CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES & STREAMS

ITAC 2020 aims to provide something for everyone, from basic hints and techniques, with presentations from expert speakers covering the theme and dealing with the broader business and strategic issues facing an industry grappling with the uptake of technology.

The ITAC 2020 theme Transforming Independence through Innovative Technology incorporates the following information streams:

  • Assistive home technologies
  • Care recipient independence through technology support
  • Use of big data across care service models
  • Reviewing the potential role of block chain in health and care systems
  • Role of digital assistants in the care systems of the future
  • How will the My Health Record impact care service provision
  • Is the use of CCTV critical in service industry's and if so what are the privacy implications?
  • To maximise consumer/client choice is technology a critical component?

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The ITAC 2020 Organising Committee invites prospective participants to submit abstracts relating to the listed topics.

Authors of abstracts selected for presentation must register and pay to attend ITAC 2020. A discounted presenter rate of $770 will be available to all concurrent speakers. Support for travel and accommodation is not available.

PREPARING AN ABSTRACT

The purpose of the abstract is to define the precise subject of the presentation for potential inclusion into the ITAC 2020 concurrent streams within the program. Acknowledgements, figures and referencing should not be included. Names of all co-presenters and/or co-authors along with their affiliations and contact details must be submitted with the abstract.

There are only eight (8) spaces open for concurrent presentations to be included in the program. With this in mind please ensure your submission adheres to the below guidelines and clearly defines the presentation subject matter. All papers must be of a scientific nature. Any submissions which are clearly outlining a product will not be accepted.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The ITAC Organising Committee require that any applications which are shortlisted for the program provide a short video (3 minutes maximum), featuring the service or solution being demonstrated. Video direct to a smart phone will be quite sufficient.

  • Abstract must be received in word format only. Any other formats will not be accepted.
  • Abstract to contain no more than 500 words
  • Abstract must contain name and title of presenter(s)
  • Presenters must register to attend ITAC. A special presenter rate of $770 will be offered to all presenters.
  • Submissions are to be received no later than 10th September 2019 via the online submission facility
  • Notification of submission outcome w/c 8th October 2019.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION TERMS & CONDITIONS

All abstracts must be submitted by 10th September 2019. Submissions received after this date will not be considered. The paper must be presented by the specified presenting author(s). Proxies will not be permitted except in an emergency such as illness or misadventure. Notification must be received in writing of any additional presenters by 16th December 2019. Registration is a condition of accepting the offer to present. All presenters must register and pay by 28th January 2020 to obtain the discounted Abstract Speaker Registration rate of $770.00 including GST. Presenters are responsible for their own accommodation expenses and travel to and from ITAC. The submitting author must be the presenting author and will be the main contact for any correspondence about the presentation. All abstracts must be submitted electronically via the online submission process. Emailed submissions will not be accepted.
